If you’ve read my blog or met me in person, you know that I’m a HUGE advocate for practicing yoga to improve athletic performance and prevent injury. That’s why I’m thrilled to offer a Yoga for Runners & Cyclists Workshop at Revolution Studio next month in partnership with my running partner, Frances Kellerman.
Here’s what you need to know:
What: This three week series is designed to give athletes the tools to increase mobility, prevent injury and recover using yoga. The repetitive movements of running and cycling take a toll on the body, joints and muscles. Each session will break down a series of poses designed to provide relief and ease soreness caused by training on the bike or the road. Session one will focus on the lower body—hips, hamstrings, calves, quads, thighs, and feet. Session two will break down poses that provide relief on the upper body including the back, shoulders, and neck. The final session will cover stretches for the whole body. Each session is 75-minutes and includes a warm-up, sequence of poses, and time for Q&A. Come ready to breathe, stretch and learn!
When: Sundays, November 6, 13, & 20 from 4 – 5:15 pm
Where: Revolution Studio River Oaks, 2800 Kirby Drive Suite A220
