‘Twas 9 days until Christmas and your shopping still hasn’t started. Sound familiar? I’ve got you covered. This quick and dirty list of top finds for your #FitFam will ensure that everyone on your list is happy and ready to sweat into the New Year. Plus, you can get all of these things under the tree before Santa makes it down the chimney.
If you’re like me, some new lulu always inspires me to break a sweat (especially after holiday feasting!). Gift some snazzy new spandex or running shoes from your fit fam’s fave store–Lululemon, Athleta, Luke’s Locker, Spiritual Gangster, Fleet Feet, Oiselle, or Alo to name a few of my faves! If you’re stuck on sizes, a gift card (or gift receipts) works perfectly.
Raise your hand if you cart your yoga clothes to and from the studio in a plastic tote or shopping bag. Treat your fit fam to a gym bag that’ll make going from the studio to class or work easy peasy.
Gym Bag Essentials
What do you get for the gym junkie that has everything already? Stock their gym bag with goodies they’ll love! Think stocking stuffers specially picked for your fit fam. I love this After Workout Kit from local skincare brand, Source Vital Apothecary*. It’s the perfect size to throw into your gym bag and it includes natural deodorant, an invigorating peppermint body wash, sports balm (my favorite…think Bengay but without the stench and so much better) and an after workout spray.
For more goodies they’re bound to love, add a selection of nuun hydration* flavors to keep them hydrated during their workouts. Plus, order in the next couple of days and you’ll get free shipping!
A good yoga mat can really up-level your practice. Whether you’re introducing your fit fam to yoga or gifting to an experienced yogi, a new mat makes a great gift! I’m currently obsessed with Lululemon’s “The Mat.” It’s perfect for a heated or non-heated practice and reduces the need for a towel!
Giving the gift of fitness has got to be one of my favorite things. Studios have made a big difference in my journey to becoming a yoga teacher and I love it when people have the opportunity to find their favorite studio. Gifting a membership is easy…you don’t have to stress about the lines at the mall or worry about your gift shipping in time. Plus, a ton of local studios (including mine, Revolution Studio*) offer amazing discounts and deals during the holidays!
When it comes to my fitness endeavors, music is a big deal! Having a killer playlist during CIM helped keep me motivated towards the BQ and I teach six yoga classes a week to music. I couldn’t imagine having to deal with ads during my playlists or have to pay for each song individually! That’s why I recommend gifting a subscription to your favorite music program. I’m partial to Spotify, but there are tons of options out there!
Fitness comes with a ton of incredible accomplishments. From running a marathon to PR-ing a lift, there’s always something to celebrate. And with sites like Etsy for unique gifts and Shutterfly for photos, there are so many ways to celebrate the accomplishment. I’ve lately been obsessed with Sarah Marie Design Studio’s runner-friendly swag, but I’ve also gifted race photos to my dad in past years which has been a great hit! Celebrating an accomplishment gives you some fantastic gift ideas: a photo book, medal holder, personalized coffee cups or jewelry will all go down well for someone who has just totally crushed their goal!
High Tech Water Bottle
From Hawaii to Houston, my fit fam lives in warm locations. The hotter the climate, the more essential hydration becomes, especially when you’re a fitness fanatic. Gift a Hydroflask or bkr bottle to make hydration more fun! Plus, if you’re an Amazon Prime member you can get both of these bottles delivered before Christmas Day.
If the yogi in your life is looking to up-level their practice, gift some yoga accessories. Straps, blocks, bolsters and meditation pillows all make great gifts for the yoga enthusiast. Check out Manduka for all of the above! Still stumped? Gift a candle or essential oils to bring the scents of the studio to their home.
*Note: All products listed are products and brands I personally endorse. I was not paid by any of the brands to include their products in this post. In full disclosure, I assist Source Vital with some of their marketing, teach yoga at Revolution Studio, and am an ambassador for Nuun Hydration.
